VOLUNTEER UPDATES
Sat. 12th May 2012 Building a Bench seat - we will be meeting under the M2 bridge on the Murri Yanna track at 2pm. To build a bench seat at the new bridge site. Please come along we would love to meet you.
Walking Track Monitoring and Maintenance - We are also looking for active, fit people to walk the main tracks of Bidjigal and clear them where possible. After all this rain most of them need a good tidy up!
Bushcarer & Coordinator – We already have a few bushcare sites working regularly in Bidjigal to restore native vegetation in areas where weeds and exotics have almost taken over and they are having a great impact. If you would like to be involved as a coordinator, effectively ‘running’ a bushcare site, we would love to hear from you.
Also if you don’t think you can manage coordinating a site, but would like to get busy pulling weeds, planting natives and learning to tell the difference – then you would make a great bush carer.
If you are interested in any of these roles please contact us for further information. friends@bidjigal.org.au
